In a bid to provide further transparency to the market and add value to our existing rankings tool, Cloudscene will publish a leaderboard each quarter announcing the top ten data center operators in specific regions.
With the first leaderboard to be announced beginning of April 2017, the top ten will be based on a combined density (# of facilities) and connectivity (# of PoPs) score derived from the data on each service provider as published on Cloudscene.
The quarterly leaderboard regions will cover:
- North America
The first leaderboard published will be Quarter One, 2017 which relates to the data collated for the January to March 2017 period.
Data center operators are encouraged to review their company data on Cloudscene to ensure the accuracy of their listings. In particular, data center operators should ensure that all of their facilities are listed on Cloudscene and the number of PoPs are up-to-date. To find out how to claim or update data, see our support page.
Cloudscene’s rankings tools provide further insight as to who the major players are in any given region and which markets are the most connected worldwide. We also announced the 2017 Global Colocation Ecosystems ranking recently as you may have seen published by Data Center News Asia, ARN, Lightwave, CRN, Data Economy, ZDNet (France) and the Dutch Data Center Association to name a few.
