Data Center Operators Have One Month to Update Their Data Before Cut-Off Date of 23rd June, 2017
We recently revealed the top ten data center operators across North America, EMEA, Oceania and Asia in Cloudscene’s inaugural Data Center Operator Leaderboard.
The announcement of the Q1, 2017 Leaderboard honorees caught the interest of the industry and the media, attracting headlines from Computer Weekly, ZDNet, ARN, Data Economy, CRN, Data Center News Asia, IT Brief and many more respected industry publications.
Interestingly (but perhaps unsurprisingly), Equinix dominated the top spot across all four regions with the company’s substantial market share resulting in a comfortable lead to its nearest rivals. However, Global Switch also performed strongly, securing a top five spot in three of the regions and the only other operator to do so.
The second quarter leaderboard rankings will be determined based on the data for more than 5,000 service providers listed on Cloudscene. A combined score that considers both density (number of facilities) and connectivity (number of PoPs) will again be used to determine the ranking.
The Q2, 2017 Leaderboard will be announced in early July however, the cut-off for data updates will be Friday, 23 June 2017.
Data center operators are encouraged to update their company data on Cloudscene to ensure the accuracy of their listings which has the potential to improve their rankings for future leaderboards. Data can be updated directly on Cloudscene (the profile simply needs to be “claimed” first) or relevant information can be sent to the Cloudscene data analyst team directly who can perform the updates.
