Located in Santana do Parnaíba, Equinix International Business Exchange™ (IBX) SP3 will have more than 20,000 square meters (215,000 square feet) of space when built out; of that, 8,000 square meters (90,000 square feet) will be colocation space. Its nearly 2,800 cabinets will double our inventory in Brazil. The first phase of construction is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2017, delivering around 720 cabinets. Equinix Metro Connect™ will connect SP3 with SP2, utilizing dark fiber between the sites offering direct access to more than 1,000 customers with high capacity (up to 100 GBs) and protection against failure. SP3 leverages solar energy to power the IBX and is the first Equinix IBX in Brazil to be LEED Certified eligible.

Equinix Metro Connect™ will connect SP3 with another local Equinix data center, SP2, utilizing dark fiber between the sites offering direct access to more than 1,000 customers.
