
GN-IX is an independent organization and set up by the Northern Development Agency, the Municipality of Groningen and the University of Groningen. The purpose of GN-IX is to support the IT and internet sector in the Northern Netherlands. It does this by deploying technical facilities at two locations in the city of Groningen and by (financial) support for innovative projects. The University's Center for Information Technology (CIT) and Bytesnet are two strategic partners and are responsible for the implementation of the activities.
