The modern data center was established in 2010 and is located in the office complex "Atlantic House" at the Noorderlaan in Antwerp.
Because the Internet backbone runs from North to South Europe via Datacenter Vlaanderen and because virtually all Belgian telecom providers at Datacenter Vlaanderen have their interconnection, Datacenter Flanders can provide a connection with almost every Telecom Operator, including foreign ones. Customers (including customers of our customers) can get a direct connection via our operators to, for example, data centers in Amsterdam, Paris and London. The physical location between the port and the city of Antwerp ensures that Datacenter Vlaanderen is easily and quickly accessible if necessary.
The datacenter has recently had a technical upgrade to Tier 4 and is the only datacenter in Belgium which can also show a corresponding uptime for a long time. The cooling installations and the emergency power supply comply with the guidelines of "the green grid, ASHREA, ETSI and BICSI 002-2010".
The data center also complies with the new European data center Norm EN50600, where the Datacenter Flanders specialists have cooperated at the request of the international standardization institutes. Naturally, automatic fire detection and gas extinguishing are also provided.
