LepidaSpA is an In house providing company established by Regional Law (11/2004). It was created in the end of 2007 by the Emilia-Romagna Regional Government (as unique shareholder and founder). Currently it counts 417 shareholders,all Public Administrations and Public Entities. LepidaSpA -created to design, realize and manage broadband infrastructures for the regional public adiinistations- is involved in the governance of the Regional ICT Plan (PiTER, a five year framework programme on Information Society run by the Regional Government, namely the Regional Digital Agenda) and has been given responsability for: 

- planning, development and management of the ICT infrastructures  - definition and implementation of actions to reduce the Digital Divide  - development and supply of ICT services for the Public Administrations
