MRS3 is an old submarine base built by the Germans during the Second World War, never completed nor used. In 2018, Interxion became the owner of this unique site.
Interxion overcame the challenge of preserving its historic importance, and at the same time transforming it into a global Internet hub for enterprises, cloud and digital media platforms.
This atypical building is Interxion’s third data centre in our Marseille campus, situated next to MRS2, and just 4km from MRS1.
This site impresses with its size and history. It is strategically located on the Mediterranean coast, offering access to 4.5 billion people across EMEA and Asia via the 14 subsea cables that connect the city to these regions.
