The Gerbrandy tower is perhaps the best known mast in the Netherlands and the highest anyway (372 m). This tower, with antenna, is higher than the Eiffel Tower. For years, the tower was known as the tower of Lopik, but due to the municipal reorganization, the tower now stands on the territory of the municipality of IJsselstein.
The radio tower has an interesting history. Maarten van Rossem made a report for RTV Utrecht and went to the tower, not a piece of cake for someone with a fear of heights. The mast is fitted with lights on the taps (almost) every year around Christmas, creating an extremely large Christmas tree .
The data center located in the tower has the largest capacity of all our data centers, more than 1200 kVA in capacity. Yet it is not the largest in area. That is Roermond data center.
